New Houses

Brighton

These new houses are located in the rear garden of a large detached house in Brighton. The owners of the existing house wanted to maximise the potential of their garden, and appointed Studio Wolsey to look at options for it’s development.

After exploring several different options, Studio Wolsey secured planning consent for two new semi-detached houses.

We designed the two new houses to be contemporary in style, to contrast with the existing house, while complimenting it through material choice and form. The two new houses are semi-detached, one with a pitched roof to match the existing house and one with a flat roof to match the neighbours. The material palette consists of timber cladding, render board and dark grey metal windows.
