This maisonette flat is located in the East Canonbury conservation area, in Islington. The flat was in need of a total refurbishment and update to modern standards.
Studio Wolsey proposed a complete reorganisation of the internal spaces, which involved flipping the layout from its existing upside down design, to a more traditional layout. The ground floor becomes an open plan living, kitchen and dining area which opens out to the newly landscaped garden. It also houses a new bathroom.
The first floor houses two bedrooms, one en suite. Studio Wolsey also gained planning permission for a new roof terrace to the rear. The whole flat underwent a complete refurbishment, with new plumbing, electrics and windows, as well as a new kitchen and two new bathrooms.
